Born in Neoli (UP) in 1945.
Studied Art in Banasthali,Lukhnow & New Delhi between 1961 & 1969.
She has organised 41 solo exhibitions of her works.
Participated in 42 International exhibition abroad.
150 Group exhibitions in India.
Gogi works in different mediums ...installation, painting, sculpture, graphic prints, ceramics, jewelry, weaving, and photography, computer, writing & limited edition books to achieve creativity. 'My life & my cultural identity carve the directions of my expression. The titles which I give to my creative visual expressions converge on 'Being a Woman' & the unequal relationships which exist in the Society. I am an artist. I am not a social reformer... If my 'creative visual expressions' become symbols to harmonize the human relationships, I will feel fulfilled. I will feel, I have existed. I will feel, I have participated.

1996: She won an award in the Cleveland Drawing Biennial in U.K.
1990: She was awarded National Award in painting by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi.
1987: She was awarded in the International Biennial of Plastic Arts at Algiers.
1980: Gogi was given the Sanskriti Award , New Delhi.
